[Class 12 (i)] Axial alignment of the rolling members of a needle journal bearing is obtained by the use of one or more distance bars 6 each extending between two adjacent rollers and having circumferentially extending arms 7 bearing on flange surfaces 4 on a race member, each device forming a unit which extends only partly round the annular roller space. As shown each unit is of rectangular shape the ends of the arms 7 being bevelled at 10. In a modification the members are of H-section.
