PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration in reading accuracy even when a bar-code is read by a simple configuration.SOLUTION: An element group formed by converting information based on the standard is divided into element groups each comprising a data element as one space and a data element as one bar, where the space and bar are invertedly disposed for every one group, and reference elements W and B are provided for every one or two element groups. The reference element is one-module space W or bar B, and the spatial width of the data element is calculated based on the temporal widths of the reference elements W and B.
