An electrical connector plug comprises a first body part 2 with a plug 4 that extends from the first body part, and a second body part 3 configured as a terminal for a cable end. The two parts may form a ball and socket joint, or a constant velocity joint. The electrical connection between the two parts may be made by conductive bearings (10, Fig 4) running in grooves 8 on the ball or in recesses (32, Fig 7), connecting contact strips (9, Fig 3) to a contact crown (7, Fig 4). An elastomeric insert (90, Fig 5) and studs (91, Fig 5) can lock the two parts in position. The plug may be used to relieve stress when a headphone lead is wrapped around a device. |
