1. An apparatus for controlling an information processing system, the apparatus comprising:
a memory; and a control unit configured to perform a process including: obtaining response information that includes a result of processing executed by a plurality of virtual machines that operates on a first information processing device, in response to request information that is transmitted to the information processing system that includes a plurality of information processing devices, the first information processing device being included in the plurality of information processing devices; calculating a first evaluation value that is used to evaluate a response time from transmission of the request information to reception of the response information; calculating a value that depends on a ratio of a processing capability of the first information processing device to a processing capability of a second information processing device, the second information processing device being included in the plurality of information processing devices and reserving capacity for executing the processing; calculating an occupation proportion of a processing time of each of the plurality of virtual machines in the response time, the processing time being a time taken by each of the plurality of virtual machines to execute the processing; calculating, based on the first evaluation value, the value that depends on the ratio and the occupation proportion, a second evaluation value that is used to evaluate a processing time that occurs when the virtual machines operates on the second information processing device, the processing time being a period of time extending from transmission of the request information to reception of the response information; determining the second information processing device to be a migration destination candidate of the virtual machines when the calculated second evaluation value is smaller than a first threshold value; and migrating the virtual machines that operates on the first information processing device to the migration destination candidate to turn off power of the first information processing device. |
