The sweeping device (1) has a brush roller (8) under a housing (7), where the brush roller is rotatably connected with an axis. The sweeping device is detachably connected with a child vehicle (2). A carrier wheel is arranged for driving the axis of the brush roller. The carrier wheel rests in the operative position of the sweeping device on the ground and is connected with the axis of the brush roller in drivable manner by a gear. The carrier wheel has a hollow inner space, in which the gear is present. The inner space of the carrier wheel is covered at an open side by a separate cover component.
