The invention relates to a punching and welding machine that comprises an upper head (6) and a lower head (11) joined together by means of a frame (17). The upper head (6) incorporates an ultrasonic punching sonotrode (7) and the lower head (11) an ultrasonic welding sonotrode (14). Thus, the upper head (6) makes a hole having pre-programmed dimensions, in a part (1) to be punched and the lower head (11) subsequently positions and welds an accessory part to the hole. A plurality of assemblies comprising an upper head (6), a lower head (11) and a frame (17) can be provided for simultaneously punching and welding a single part. The invention also relates to a method for punching and welding by means of ultrasound.
