An example apparatus includes a disk body, a sealing surface of the disk body to form a seal with a valve body in a closed position, and a wall protruding from the disk body. The wall includes an outer surface adjacent a portion of the sealing surface and a depression defined by the outer surface of the wall. The outer surface and the depression provide a substantially equal percentage fluid flow characteristic when the disk body transitions between the closed position and an open position. |
