The invention discloses an intermediate plug (1) for preventing theft of an electrical terminal (8), in particular a handheld tool, which is connected to said intermediate plug by means of its mains plug (7) and which comprises a housing (2) which forms a plug (3) for insertion of the intermediate plug (1) into a socket (5) of an electrical power supply system (6), in particular a low-voltage supply system, and comprises a plug receptacle (4), which is electrically connected to the plug (3), for insertion of the mains plug (7) of the terminal (8), comprising a monitoring device (10), which is provided in the housing (2), for identifying theft of the terminal (8), and comprising an assembly securing means (11) of the intermediate plug (1). In order to achieve particularly reliable securing without having an adverse effect on the handling of the handheld tool, it is proposed that the assembly securing means (11) forms a permanent, in particular interlocking, connection (12) between the plug receptacle (4) and the mains plug (7) of the terminal (8) in order to fix the mains plug (7) to the intermediate plug (1), and that the monitoring device (10) has both a rechargeable electrical energy store (13) for emergency electrical power supply to said monitoring device, which energy store (13) can preferably be charged by means of the plug (3) of the intermediate plug (1), which plug can be connected to the electrical power supply system (6), and also a telematics device (14), which is designed for locating the intermediate plug (1), for distinguishing between theft and use of the terminal (8) as intended depending on the locating data (24) of the telematics device (14) when the intermediate plug (1) is disconnected from the electrical power supply system (6). |
