Provided is a production method in which an AEI zeolite is obtained without inducing a structural transformation in a crystalline aluminosilicate having a Y structure, and without using fluorine or phosphorus. This method for producing an AEI zeolite is characterized by having a crystallization step for crystallizing a composition that contains an alumina source, silica source, structure-directing agent, sodium source, and water, with the weight ratio of crystalline aluminosilicate to the total weight of the alumina source and silica source being 0-10 wt%, wherein at least one of the following conditions is satisfied: the molar ratio of hydroxide ions to silica in the composition is 0.45 or higher; the composition contains cations represented by CH3)3RN+ (where R is a C1-4 alkyl group, and the alkyl group may include one or more substituents); and the crystallization time is 80 hours or longer. |
