The present invention is a thermoplastic polyester resin composition which is not only capable of providing a molded article that has excellent surface smoothness and low fogging properties and is suitable for the formation of a light-reflecting surface of a light reflector, but also capable of suppressing mold contamination during continuous molding. This thermoplastic polyester resin composition contains 100-50 parts by mass of a polybutylene terephthalate resin (A) and 0-50 parts by mass of a polyethylene terephthalate resin (B), while containing 1-20 parts by mass of a surface-treated calcium carbonate (C) having an average particle diameter of 0.05-2 μm and 0.05-5 parts by mass of an aliphatic or alicyclic polycarbodiimide compound (D) per 100 parts by mass of all polyester resins contained in the resin composition.
