The present invention provides a method for controlling a node management range, comprising: acquiring, by a base station, information about management range supported by a core network node to determine a management range of each core network node to which said base station is connected; and selecting, by the base station, a core network node for user equipment (UE) according to the management range of said each core network node. The application of the present application can prevent the UE from accessing to a wrong core network node, and prevent a communication request of the UE from being refused.
