The present invention relates to a massage device (1) for a vehicle seat (10) comprising a number of massage units (2) designed to be integratable into a cushion (3) of a vehicle seat (10); comprising a control device (4) designed to control the massage units (2), or a central plug (4) that provides a connection for controlling the massage units (2); comprising at least one connection device (5) that couples the massage units (2) to the control device (4); wherein the control device (4) or the central plug (4) and/or the massage units (2) and/or the connection device (5) comprise/s means for guaranteeing a clear installation of at least the massage units (2) with respect to the placement and/or orientation. The present invention additionally relates to a vehicle seat with a massage device of this type and a method for the production thereof.
