The present embodiment achieves an effective low profile for an entire optical connection component configured by a bent optical fiber and a fiber fixing component. The fiber fixing component is provided with a first portion and a second portion which configure a holding section while disposed so as to clamp an installation plane in order to hold, in a state in which one of non-bent segments positioned at both ends of a bent section is disposed on the installation plane. An effective low profile is achieved for the entire optical connection component because the first and second portions have different total lengths and the bent section is disposed in a step portion formed by the difference in the total lengths.
