The invention concerns a method and a facility for gas/liquid separation, in an underwater environment, of a multiphase hydrocarbon mixture. Said method comprises the following steps: a) installing a separation chamber (32) in a substantially vertical direction, said separation chamber (32) having a lower end (33) and an opposing upper end (35); b) extracting, from the seabed (10), a multiphase hydrocarbon mixture comprising at least one gas phase and at least one liquid phase; and, c) injecting said multiphase hydrocarbon mixture according to a tangential component into said separation chamber (32) in order to allow said at least one gas phase to flow towards said upper end (35), while said at least one liquid phase drains towards said lower end (33). |
