A power saving method for a neighbor awareness network (NAN) is provided. A device of an active mode receives a medium access control (MAC) frame. The MAC frame includes a NAN cluster ID indicating a NAN cluster and information on a sleeping period in which the device stays in a sleeping state. If the device is not a member of the NAN cluster indicated by the NAN cluster ID, the device switches to the sleeping state for the sleeping period.
