Provided are: a porous metal film on which an assessment can be performed as to whether at least one of sterilization and cleaning has been concluded; a sterilization assessment method for assessing whether sterilization of the porous metal film has been concluded; and a cleaning assessment method for assessing whether cleaning of the porous metal film has been concluded. This porous metal film has a plurality of through-holes, and has a photosensitive organic substance adhered to at least a portion thereof. This configuration makes it possible to easily assess whether at least one of sterilization and cleaning of the porous metal film has concluded on the basis of the photosensitive organic substance adhered to the porous metal film.
