A material separation system consists of a set of devices capable of separating both minerals and crude oil from ocean water. It has a bold design, both with regard to performance and to functionality. The mineral separador is mounted with an inclination angle of 5 to 20 degrees and consists of a support comprising hydraulic devices that make it possible to collect materials to be sorted with an operational capacity of up to 100 tons per minute. All the galleries are shaped as tables with conveyor belts that float through a jet projected by sprayers which provide an intense and constant water flow through the pipes arranged in the galleries, as ducts which determine the paths of all the minerals to be selected, sorted and finally collected. The mineral separator comprises if necessary a magnetic separation system. To ensure the power supply at the separation sites, one of the devices of the system produces electrical energy by means of hydraulic turbines that can be installed near the separator. For subsea separation, energy is supplied by equipment that captures tidal energy. The system for separating crude oil from ocean water consists of a simple structure made of a material similar to the material of balloons or parachutes, and in which oil is extracted from the bottom of the ocean and conducted to a safety reservoir. |
