1. A gas generator comprising:
a gas generating agent; an igniter for burning the gas generating agent; and a cylindrical partition wall portion including a plurality of gas passage holes through which a gas generated as a result of burning of the gas generating agent passes, the plurality of gas passage holes being provided to scatter at different positions at least in a circumferential direction of the partition wall portion, a plurality of sealing tapes in a form of a band being bonded to any one of an inner circumferential surface and an outer circumferential surface of the partition wall portion, the plurality of sealing tapes in the form of the band being provided to totally extend around the partition wall portion in the circumferential direction by being arranged contiguously such that a direction of extension of each of the sealing tapes matches with the circumferential direction of the partition wall portion and each one of a pair of end portions located in the direction of extension is layered on an adjacent sealing tape, and some of the plurality of gas passage holes being closed by a layered bonding region, the layered bonding region being a portion where the adjacent sealing tapes are layered on each other, and remaining gas passage holes of the plurality of gas passage holes being closed by a non-layered bonding region, the non-layered bonding region being a portion where the adjacent sealing tapes are not layered on each other. |
