A planar light emitting element (10) is provided with a semiconductor base material (20) and a wiring member (30). The base material (20) is provided with an optical element unit having photoelectric conversion functions. A first terminal electrode (241) and a second terminal electrode (242) are formed on the base material (20). The housing (30) is provided with a recessed section (301) for housing the base material (20). First connection electrodes (311, 312) and second connection electrodes (321, 322) are formed on the housing (30). The first and second terminal electrodes (241, 242) are formed such that the electrodes are protruding from the side surfaces of the base material (20). The first and second connection electrodes (311, 312, 321, 322) are formed on the housing (30) such that the electrodes are protruding to the recessed section (301) side. The first terminal electrode (241) and the first connection electrodes (311, 312) are in contact with each other, and the second terminal electrode (242) and the second connection electrodes (321, 322) are in contact with each other. |
