Provided is an electric connection device provided with first and second connectors that can fit to one another, said electric connection device being capable of reliably detecting the fitting state of the first and second connectors. This electric connection device is provided with: a first connector (C1) that has a first housing (10); a second connector (C2) that has a second housing (20) that receives the insertion of the first housing (10); and a fitting detection jig (30). The first housing (10) has: a housing body (12); a lock part (14) that has a jig restricting part (14d); and a displacement regulating part (16) that prevents an insertion-permitting displacement, which permits the insertion of the lock part (14). The fitting detection jig (30) is held at an operation position at which the displacement regulating part (16) is elastically deformed so as to permit the insertion-permitting displacement. The jig restricting part (14d) inseparably restricts the fitting detection jig (30) to the operation position when the insertion-permitting displacement is in effect, and, otherwise, allows the fitting detection jig (30) to separate from the operation position in tandem with an elastic return of the lock part (14) to a locked position.
