A system and method for implementing reading/writing of board information, the system comprising a controlling board, a back board, and one or more service boards. The controlling board comprises a CPU and a serial bus interface driving module, and each service board comprises a memory. The serial bus interface driving module on the controlling board is configured to drive multiple serial bus interface signals of the CPU on the controlling board, wherein at least one of the serial bus interface signals serves as a specific serial bus interface signal for the service board. The CPU on the controlling board is configured to perform a read/write operation in respect of the board information in the memory on each service board by means of the specific serial bus interface signal for the service board. The back board is configured to connect the serial bus interface of the CPU on the controlling board to the serial bus interface of the memory on each service board and to supply a slot number signal to the memory on each service board. |
