PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera device that can meet a privacy-prioritized need and can make a cover open/close mechanism compact and inexpensive.SOLUTION: The camera device comprises: an optical unit 12 that is attached to a casing; a driving-side support shaft 13 and a non-driving support shaft that protrude from the optical unit 12; a driving motor 17 that drives a spherical shape first open/close cover 15 and a spherical shape second open/close cover 16 having a first cover driving end 46 and a second cover driving end 49 rotatably and coaxially supported by the driving-side support shaft 13 and a first cover non-driving end 50 and a second non-driving end rotatably and coaxially supported by the non-driving side support shaft respectively, and a driving gear 53; a first cover-side gear 18 which is supported by the driving-side support shaft 13 to be engaged with the first cover driving end 46 and to which a rotation from the driving gear 53 is transmitted; and a second cover-side gear 19 which is supported by the driving-side support shaft 13 to be engaged with the second cover driving end 49 and to which the rotation from the driving gear 53 is transmitted in a reverse rotation with respect to the first cover-side gear 18 by a reverse gear 64. |
