PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing inspection method capable of determining adequacy of printing with consideration of visibility.SOLUTION: A printing inspection method for determining quality of a printing character formed of a dot pattern comprises: an imaging step for imaging a character to be determined by a camera; an extracting step for extracting part of an image in which there is only the character to be determined from the image; a selecting step for selecting the dot pattern having high degree of matching as a reading candidate character after comparing the dot pattern of the character to be determined and a dot pattern which was registered in advance; a calculating step for selecting a specific dot among the dot pattern of the character to be determined and digitizing a relative position of the specific dot and an adjacent dot for calculating; and a determining step for comparing the value obtained in the calculating step and a preset threshold for determining as a character to be printed, and when the value obtained in the calculating step is in a range of the threshold, determining that the character is the character to be printed, and when the value is out of the range of the threshold, determining that the character is not the character to be printed. |
