PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evaluate the quality of sleep in a method more simple than in the case of using pulse waves and pulse intervals.SOLUTION: When acquiring each information transmitted from an acceleration sensor 2, a detection part 111 interprets the information to detect the angle of a posture and the amount of body motion. A measurement part 113 measures a pulse rate of a user on the basis of a digital signal transmitted from a photoelectric sensor 3 attached to a finger or the like of the user. A discrimination part 112 applies a rule stored in a storage part 12 to discriminate whether the user falls asleep. When the discrimination part 112 discriminates that the user falls asleep, a pretreatment part 114 performs a calculation corresponding to pretreatment on the basis of the pulse rate of the user transmitted from the measurement part 113. A determination part 115 refers to change speeds of pulse rates described in a sleep state table 121 stored in the storage part 12, specifies a sleep state corresponding to the calculated change speed, and evaluates the quality of the sleep. |
