PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL element capable of mainly achieving further reduction in waveguide loss, thereby capable of extracting light emitted in an organic electroluminescent layer to the outside with more high efficiency.SOLUTION: An organic EL element 1A includes an organic electroluminescent layer 12, a first transparent electrode layer 11, a second transparent electrode layer 13, and a reflective layer 14. The second transparent electrode layer 13 includes a transparent metal thin film 13a, and a transparent optical adjustment layer 15 comprising a non-conductive transparent film and a light scattering layer 16 are arranged, in the order, from the second transparent electrode layer 13 side between the second transparent electrode layer 13 and the reflective layer 14. |
