A medication history management method in which a server apparatus (12) transmits/receives information to/from a medical institution terminal (10) and a patient terminal (11) and manages a medication history includes: generating random-number-value information based on a request for the random-number-value information received from a medical institution terminal (10); storing the random-number-value information in a predetermined storage section and displaying the random-number-value information on the medical institution terminal (10); receiving the random value information inputted from the patient terminal (11) and patient-identification information stored in the patient terminal (11) from the patient terminal (11); and reading, when the random value information stored in the predetermined storage section coincides with the random value information received from the patient terminal (11), the medication history information corresponding to the patient-identification information from the predetermined storage section and displaying the medication history information on the medical institution terminal (10).
