PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power consumption reduction method for an IP telephone set, and an IP telephone set and an IP telephone system using the same, capable of achieving a remarkable power consumption reduction for IP telephone sets which had been difficult in power consumption reduction.SOLUTION: A method for reducing power consumed for a plurality of IP telephone sets connected to a network, includes a step in which a telephone set allows the telephone set main unit to shift into a sleep state, when the plurality of IP telephone sets excluding at least one unit detects that the network has shifted into an idle state. It also may include a step in which at least one IP telephone set among the plurality of IP telephone sets is disallowed to shift into the sleep state while others are allowed to do so, on the basis of device information on the plurality of IP telephone sets. |
