PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operating device which is made compact in a direction perpendicular to the axial direction of a knob.SOLUTION: An operating device 100 which allows for input to a switch 122 by rotary operation of a rod-like knob 110 comprises: a rotary mechanism 114; and an elastic member 130. The rotary mechanism 114 is arranged eccentrically with respect to the axis of the knob 110, and rotates together with the knob 110 subjected to rotary operation. The elastic member 130 is pushed by the rotary mechanism 114 and deformed elastically, and gives an elastic force, as an operation reaction force, to the rotary mechanism 114. The elastic member 130 has a shape extending in the axial direction of the knob 110. Consequently, the operating device 100 is not upsized in a direction perpendicular to the axial direction, even if the elastic member 130 is elongated in the longitudinal direction so as to give a sufficient operation reaction force. |
