PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass molding manufacturing method that can prevent surface detects from occurring.SOLUTION: The glass molding manufacturing method includes the steps of: contact-supporting a glass lump dropping onto a lower molding die having a first support member and a second support member, by the first support member; moving the first support member downward while maintaining the contact of the glass lump and the first support member, and bringing the glass lump into contact with the second support member and supporting it; moving the first support member downward and separating it from the glass lump when viscosity of a contact portion of the glass lump to the first support member becomes 10Pa s from 10Pa s while the glass lump is contacting and being supported by the first and second support members; making a portion of the glass lump that had been contacting the first support member into a free curve by the separation of the first support member; and moving the first support member upward and bringing it into contact with the free curve of the glass lump, and making an upper molding die approach the glass lump held by the lower molding die to perform press molding. |
