A test system tests a system under test running a program with a graphical user interface. The test system monitors the graphical user interface. If it detects any change in the interface, within a predetermined time period, it assumes that operations carried out by the system under test have completed successfully. The test system may monitor part of the interface, such as a window, icon or other interface element. It may monitor a predefined area, which may be rectangular. If a change is not detected in the time period, the test may fail and an indication to a user may be generated. The test system may execute operations on the interface and the time period may start from when the operation is executed. The test system may also compare the graphical user interface with a reference image to identify an expected image. |
