PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a power generation cell, in which abnormal gas flow is occurring, among a plurality of laminated power generation cells reliably by a simple process.SOLUTION: In an abnormality detection method of a fuel cell stack 10, hydrogen is supplied from a hydrogen supply device 50 to a fuel gas supply interconnection hole 36a, and nitrogen gas is supplied from a nitrogen supply device 52 to an oxidant gas supply interconnection hole 32a. Consequently, the potential between both electrodes of each power generation cell 12 is measured in a state where hydrogen is distributed along an anode electrode 28, and nitrogen gas is distributed along a cathode electrode 30. Presence or absence of a power generation cell 12, in which abnormal gas flow is occurring, is detected by comparing each potential thus detected. |
