PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a kneading apparatus which is capable of eliminating lumps by sufficiently compressing or crushing a raw material between opposing paddles.SOLUTION: Paddles Pn, Pn', Qn, and Qn' being kneading members are mounted to two rotational shafts 3 and 4 rotating in opposite directions at unequal speed, respectively, in a manner that the paddles are arranged in parallel in a mutually reverse helical state at a prescribed helical pitch and at prescribed angle pitch intervals, and then the rotational shafts are rotated to knead an object to be kneaded. The kneading member is constructed to be a flat plate-like paddle of a positive phase or a negative phase, or a three-dimensionally shaped paddle. Three-dimensionally shaped paddles P3, P3', Q3, and Q3' have two side faces that are curved into a concave shape, and are proximately arranged so that when rotating the rotational shafts, a tip of each paddle of one rotational shaft intrudes into the concave curved face of the paddle of the other opposing rotational shaft. |
