This communication system is provided with multiple information processing terminals and a server controlling communication between the information processing terminals, and is provided with: a function information storage means which associates and stores communication function information, which specifies preconfigured communication functions carried out between the information processing terminals when communication is carried out between said terminals, and a combination of the category information by which the information processing terminals are classified; a category information specifying means which, when communication is carried out between the information processing terminals, specifies the category information configured in said information processing terminals; and a function control means which performs control such that the communication function performed between the information processing terminals is that specified by the communication function information associated with the combination of category information specified by the category information specifying means. |
