PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scanning projector capable of projecting an aerial image and a handheld projection device using the scanning projector.SOLUTION: A scanning projector 1 includes a light source unit 81 including a light source module 2 that includes a laser light source which emits laser light, and light deflection means 7 which includes a mirror 40 capable of swinging and projects a projection image 6 onto an image projection surface 5 by two-dimensionally sweeping laser light, which is emitted from the first light source module 2, using the mirror 40, irradiated light projection means 82 that reflects the laser light, which is emitted from the light deflection means, in a direction different from an emitting direction, and optical image formation means 83 that has a property of transparent light and is disposed at a predetermined angle with respect to a projection surface of the irradiated light projection means in the emitting direction of the light reflected from the irradiated light projection means. The projection image is projected onto a space on a side opposite to the irradiated light projection means with the optical image formation means between them.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11 |
