PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a print system, an activation device and a program for operating the activation device which allow an image forming apparatus (a printer) whose interface connected to a LAN is in a sleep state (in which a power is not supplied) to transition to a state in which it can receive print data via the LAN, then to receive print data via the LAN and execute printing.SOLUTION: An activation device transmits a prescribed signal via a telephone line with respect to an image forming apparatus (a printer) whose interface connected to a LAN is in a sleep state (a state in which no power is supplied). The image forming apparatus which has received the prescribed signal activates the interface connected to the LAN (the image forming apparatus transitions to a state in which it can receive print data via the LAN). Then, a job transmission device transmits a print job to the image forming apparatus via the LAN, and the image forming apparatus which has received the print job executes the print job. |
