PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily reproduce a moving image recorded over a plurality of recording media is reproduced from the beginning.SOLUTION: When an instruction of recording start is given in a recording and reproducing device, a recording medium selected as a recording destination is set and managed as a recording medium of a reproduction object. When a display instruction of an index screen is outputted at a reproduction mode, information on the recording medium of the reproduction object is referred to and an index screen of the recording medium of the reproduction object which is appropriately selected is displayed first. Since the recording medium selected when the recording is started thereby becomes the reproduction object, a recording medium at the start of the recording immediately before the selected recording medium is selected, and the reproduction can easily be performed from the beginning of a scene even after relay recording. |
