PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of predicting a scanning position with precision and realizing image processing and the like with accuracy even in a case where the resonant frequency of an MEMS scanner fluctuates during scanning.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: at least one or more resonance-type MEMS scanner 20; a counter 52 for counting scan cycles of the MEMS scanner; data retention means 53 for storing the final count value for one cycle counted by the counter; and scan position normalization means 50 for calculating normalized scan position information from the final count value for the last cycle stored in the data retention means and a count value of the counter counting the scan cycle of the MEMS scanner. |
