PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of a pneumatic tire capable of preventing air entry and selvedging of a rubber ribbon in a ribbon winding method, and to provide a pneumatic tire.SOLUTION: A composite rubber ribbon 20 formed by coextrusion of a plurality kinds of rubbers is used as a rubber ribbon to be wound for forming a rubber ribbon wound body. A cross section of the composite rubber ribbon 20 has a shape which has a thinner thickness t than the width w, and in which the thickness becomes thinner gradually toward both ends in the width direction WD, and also has corner parts 20a-20c on a plurality of spots including both ends. The composite rubber ribbon 20 includes a body rubber 21 forming the main body of the composite rubber ribbon 20, and a low-viscosity rubber 22 constituting the corner parts 20a, 20b, and having a lower Mooney viscosity measured at 100°C based on JISK6300 than that of the body rubber 21. |
