A content receiving apparatus (32) which seeks to minimize the content interruption when it switches between communications networks. It is configured to connect to a first network and one or more access points of a second network, it comprises a communication unit (33f, 33g) configured to receive a content distributed from an external apparatus (e.g. content server), a memory (34a) configured to store a first access point of the second network if the content is played uninterrupted from the said network over a predetermined period of time, a detector (33m) configured to detect a first access point connectable to the content receiving apparatus (32), and a controller (33a) configured to change a connection to the detected first access point while the content is being played, if an advertisement starts playing, or the title of the content is changed, or if there is a user operation on the apparatus. |
