A driving support device and a control method of driving support processing are provided. Under the condition that a three-dimensional object is close to a vehicle when the three-dimensional object detected from a photographed image moves from an outer side of the image to the center, and an alarm is generated, occurrence of false alarms can be prevented in repeated forward and backward scenes when the vehicle is parked. When a gear shift detecting part (18) detects that an input is switched to a reverse gear through a speed changer, under the condition that a vehicle speed determining part (17) determine that a vehicle speed is greater than a specified speed, an alarm generating part (16) stops executing alarm generating processing, so occurrence of false alarms can be prevented under the condition that the input of the speed changer is at the reverse gear and the vehicle moves on due to inertia. |
