PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent melting of a core molten material retainer by efficiently radiating the heat of the debris.SOLUTION: A core molten material retainer 1 includes: a debris holding unit 10 for holding debris 5 flowing from a reactor containment vessel at a core meltdown accident; and a heat radiation unit 15 for radiating the heat of the debris 5 held by the debris holding unit 10. The debris holding unit 10 is formed of a plurality of layers. The uppermost layer is a high heat conduction layer 11 having heat resistance, a second layer is a heat conduction suppression layer 12 of a low heat conductivity. The high heat conduction layer 11 rapidly diffuses the heat of the debris in the outer peripheral direction and releases it to a heat radiation unit 15. |
