COLOR REMAPPING INFORMATION PAYLOAD SIZE COMPRESSION

Color remapping information is encoded for use at a decoder by using a Supplemental Enhancement Information message, with the value of an existing syntax element interpreted as a differentially coded value. The differentially coded value is then used at a decoder with a previously decoded parameter to generate a color remapping parameter for a current portion of a picture. The differentially coded values enable color remapping information to be conveyed to a decoder using less space in the Supplemental Enhancement Information message than sending the parameters directly.
