A method and apparatus for validating a service user's visit to a service-providing place are provided. According to an exemplary embodiment, a data transmission device, which is connected to a server and transmits visit data to a wireless communication device, is provided. The data transmission unit includes: a handle unit, which is formed of a conductive material; a button unit, which is connected to the handle unit and transmits data indicating that visit data is to be transmitted to the wireless communication device to the server in response to a button thereof being pressed; and a touch screen touch unit which is connected to the button unit and allows an electric signal to be input to a touch screen of the wireless communication device, wherein the visit data is transmitted to the wireless communication device if the button is pressed and an electric signal is input to the touch screen. |
