PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly usable water heater having a function to inform a user of the necessity of replacement of a scale inhibitor at appropriate timing.SOLUTION: A water heater includes: heating means 55 for heating water sent from a lower part of a hot water storage tank 57 via a water inflow pipe line 64; a circulation pump 63 that is disposed in the water inflow pipe line 64 to carry water in the lower part of the hot water storage tank 57 to the heating means 55; a hot water delivery pipe line 65 for guiding hot water heated by the heating means 55 to an upper part of the hot water storage tank 57; scale inhibition means 68 for adding a scale inhibitor 67 to water carried to the heating means 55; and a control device 70. The control device 70 includes information means 72 for informing the necessity of replacement of the scale inhibitor 67 on the basis of operating time of the circulation pump 63. |
