PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chemical treatment apparatus that can detect inclination of clamping means to prevent cutting of a workpiece, and has excellent productivity.SOLUTION: A chemical treatment apparatus, which applies electrochemical treatment to the surface of a conveyed sheet-like workpiece 10, includes: clamping means 15 that is fixed to a rotationally driven endless belt 12 and projects in a direction approximately orthogonal to the conveying direction of the workpiece 10 to hold one end side of the workpiece 10; a plurality of clamp detection means that are arranged in a direction approximately orthogonal to the conveying direction of the workpiece 10 to respectively detect different parts of the clamping means; and inclination detection means that detects inclination of the clamping means based on the detection results of the plurality of clamp detection means. |
