The present invention relates to a liquid-crystalline medium, characterised in that it contains
- a polymerisable component (A) containing one more polymerisable compounds
and
- a liquid-crystalline component (B) containing one more compounds of the general formula I and/or IA
in which
R 0 , X 0 and L 1-6 have the meanings indicated in Claim 1,
and to the use thereof in electro-optical liquid-crystal displays.
