There is provided a method of manufacturing an optical system including a lens system including a plurality of lenses. This method of manufacturing includes assembling an optical system (step 111), acquiring chromatic aberration of the optical system by carrying out performance tests (step 112), and replacing, based on the chromatic aberration of the optical system, an optical element, which is inserted any one of between the plurality of lenses, on the outside a lens closest to a magnifying side out of the plurality of lenses, and on the outside a lens closest to a reducing side out of the plurality of lenses, with another optical element where the optical distance is the same but the chromatic aberration of magnification is different (step 113). |
