PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To normally perform initialization of an optical element included in an image pickup optical system of an interchangeable lens.SOLUTION: An interchangeable lens 1 includes a lens microcomputer 8 configured to start initializing a focus lens 2 so as to move the focus lens 2 to a predetermined position when the lens microcomputer 8 receives an initialization command that commands a start of an initialization from a camera body 10, and configured to start initializing the focus lens 2 after the lens microcomputer 8 receives identification information from the camera body 10 and a period elapses for which the camera body 10 consumes more than a predetermined amount of power when the lens microcomputer 8 does not receive the initialization command from the camera body 10. |
