A method of cleaning a well face during formation testing, the method comprising:
at least partially filling a collection chamber (150) with a cleansing fluid, wherein the filling chamber is disposed within a tool body (501) of a formation tool;
positioning the formation tester tool at a first location in a wellbore (110);
ejecting the cleansing fluid through a probe (130A, 130B, 310A, 310B, 502) extendable from the tool body;
at least partially filling the collection chamber with a formation fluid sample using the probe; and
contacting a face of the probe (503, 603) with a first retractable cleaning mechanism (606) coupled to the tool body when the probe is in a retracted position with respect to the tool body. |
