摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary machine monitoring technique capable of accurately detecting a rotation state of a rotary shaft part.SOLUTION: The monitoring system 1 includes: a rotary shaft part 22 provided in a casing 12 of a rotary machine 10 with an almost cylindrical outer peripheral surface 24 with the shaft center of a rotor as the center; an ultrasonic wave transmission part 32 provided outside the casing 12 for emitting ultrasonic waves for the rotary shaft part 22; and an ultrasonic reception part 33 provided outside the casing 12 for receiving the ultrasonic waves reflected on the rotary shaft part 22. In the rotary shaft part 22, a detection surface 44 is formed, being configured to have a radial direction distance from the shaft center different in comparison with the outer peripheral surface 24. The ultrasonic waver reception part 33 receives ultrasonic waves reflected on the detection surface 44 of the rotating rotary shaft part 22 and ultrasonic waves reflected on the outer peripheral surface 24, and a processor 100 calculates a rotation state of the rotary shaft part 22 on the basis of these received ultrasonic waves.
